Weekend Tasting: Oratoire Saint-Martin, in the heart of Cairanne since time immemorial “
Located at the foot of the Cairanne hill, in the heart of the Vaucluse region, the Oratoire Saint-Martin estate, inextricably linked with the Alary family, has now been skilfully taken over by the Abeille-Fabre family.
The Domaine de l’Oratoire Saint-Martin comprises 25 hectares of vines, mainly Grenache and Mourvèdre, all certified biodynamic and located exclusively in the commune of Cairanne.
Most of the vineyard is located in the northeast of the commune, at an altitude of 200 meters on steep hills in an area commonly referred to as “la montagne”.
First classified as a Côtes du Rhône in 1936, Cairanne became a Côtes du Rhône Village Cairanne in 1967. Driven by the collective effort of the winegrowers, Cairanne went one step further and joined the select circle of southern Rhône Valley crus in 2016.
Join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover two remarkable Cairanne wines interpreted by the emblematic Oratoire Saint-Martin:
ORATOIRE SAINT-MARTIN | Cairanne “Réserve des Seigneurs” 2020
ORATOIRE SAINT-MARTIN | Cairanne “Les Douyes” 2019
“Ten generations have successively handed down the estate since 1692.”
