One of the proudest representatives of the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, Domaine Joseph Roty produces magnificent wines, the vast majority from very old vines over 60 years old.

Founded in the 18th century, Domaine Joseph Roty has since cultivated magnificent parcels of land in Marsannay and Gevrey-Chambertin. Joseph Roty’s perfectionism and the exceptional heritage of old vines he is fortunate enough to be able to magnify have contributed considerably to the estate’s current renown. When he arrived, he began harvesting grapes at high ripeness to obtain wines with the pure aromatic expression characteristic of each terroir. His sons, Philippe and Pierre-Jean, learned from Joseph for many years before taking over the reins of the family domaine. Today, Pierre-Jean is sole master of the estate following his brother’s untimely death in 2015 and cherishes the extraordinary winegrowing heritage bequeathed to him. The wines remain a benchmark in the Burgundy wine scene, with great ageing potential that invites you to wait a little and let their full potential unfold on tasting.
