For 6 generations, Domaine Ogier has been sublimating Syrah on Côte Rôtie terroirs.
Stéphane Ogier joined the domaine in 1997, carrying on the family tradition and placing the quality of the grapes and the expression of the terroir at the forefront of each of his wines.
Elegance, purity and refinement are the hallmarks of the Syrahs produced by Stéphane Ogier. Listening to his father’s every word, he brings his freshness and expertise to the table.
Aware of the wide range of soils at his disposal, he chooses to let each terroir express itself and vinifies each cuvée separately.
Today, Domaine Stéphane Ogier covers 20 hectares and produces some of the finest Syrahs in the Northern Rhône Valley. In love with his native village, he is not content to simply sublimate the terroirs of Côte Rôtie. A few years after his arrival at the domaine, he turned his attention to the terroirs on the left bank of the Rhône, north of Vienne: the Seyssuel vineyards. On steep hillsides, he found L’Âme Sœur the land of this village and planted his first vineyard there in 2001. All the wines produced are of exceptional finesse and uncommon depth.
