Weekend Tasting: “Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet, soul and lees”
Located on the prestigious Côte de Nuits, in the heart of the charming winegrowing village of Fixin, the history of the Berthaut family estate dates back to the 18th century.
Amélie Berthaut-Gerbet, the seventh generation, took over the family estate in 2013.
This 1988 vintage, the elite of her generation, brought together all the vines of her father Denis Berthaut in Fixin and supplemented them with part of those of her mother, Marie-Andrée Gerbet of Domaine François Gerbet in Vosne-Romanée.
This is how the Berthaut-Gerbet estate came into being, covering today 18 hectares, 90% of which is Pinot Noir.
We invite you to join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover the style of Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet through two Pinot Noir wines combining authenticity and finesse:
DOMAINE BERTHAUT-GERBET – Hautes-Côtes de Nuits 2021
DOMAINE BERTHAUT-GERBET – Fixin 2021
“Doing well is better than saying. 1693” – Inscribed on the lintel of the estate door.
