Weekend Tasting: “Robert-Denogent, peasant wines”

Located in the village of Fuissé, in the south of the Mâconnais region and at the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the Robert-Denogent family estate is one of the region’s most exciting productions!
Today, the estate is brilliantly run by Nicolas and Antoine Robert, who took over the reins entirely in 2015, behind the extraordinary work accomplished by their father Jean-Jacques Robert.
The estate’s vineyard comprises 12 hectares, 95% planted with Chardonnay, with a high proportion of old vines, and entirely cultivated using biodynamic methods.
The wines are vinified without inputs, without new oak and with a high proportion of large containers. Following in Philippe Valette’s footsteps, they are great specialists in long ageing, even exceeding six years for the cuvée Les Carrons.
