One of the five oldest Champagne houses, Maison Delamotte has not aged a day. On the contrary, the freshness of its spirit and bubbles delight its many enthusiasts around the world.
Founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, the House has never ceased to uphold the values and taste qualities of Chardonnay, the grape variety of choice for its different cuvées.
The 20th century saw the Nonancourt family relaunch this great Champagne adventure, adding Laurent Perrier and the legendary Maison Salon to the family fold. Since then, Salon and Delamotte have been intimately linked. Delamotte shares Salon’s determination to produce champagnes that will reveal their full potential over time. Already pure and racy in their prime, the four cuvées (brut, blanc de blancs, blanc de blancs millésimé and rosé) produced by Maison Delamotte display a wonderful richness of character with age. The Brut boasts 36 months’ ageing on lees in the cellar when it first reaches our palate, while the Blanc de Blancs benefits from four to five years’ ageing before disgorgement. Always dashing and never boring, Delamotte champagnes are always the promise of a good time shared. The deliberately limited selection (4 cuvées) reveals the very best that the Côte des Blancs has to offer, with no fuss or bluster.
Far from being overshadowed by its prestigious sister, Salon, Maison Delamotte has long been recognized as an entity in its own right, a guarantee of authenticity, expertise and quality.
